July 9th 2012

Hello Everybody,

First of all I am loving the new area and my companion.  He is great.  We are working well together.  Our Ward Mission Leader organized a ward fast everyday for missionary work.  So someone different from the ward fasts everyday for us.  We have truly felt the effects of that.  Something interesting is that we find people who want to hear about the gospel who reflect the member who is fasting.  For example on Saturday a lady named Sandra was fasting for us.  Sandra is from Uganda, and on Saturday we found two African ladies who are very interested.  One of which is from Uganda.  And she lives in Epsom.  There are like no Africans in Epsom, she is probably the only one.  I don't think it was a coincidence.

I will share another miracle that happened on Wednesday. In the evening we were street contacting and we heard a voice behind us saying, "Why didn't you stop me." Turns out this lady, Blendina, was baptised in Yorkshire (Elder Atkinsons home county) over ten years ago. She is keen to come back to church, and she referred her friend Penny to us and we taught her on Wednesday. They should both be church next Sunday. We also found an Indian man named Vimal who we taught yesterday. He is awesome and he truly wants to find the truth. He is apprehensive to become Christian, though because he fears the persecution he will face when he moves back home. But we are going to work with him to Trust in the Lord and move forward, because it is true. The Lord will bless those who sacrifice. He is blessing us and shaping us as a companionship. I love this Gospel it fills me with great excitement and love.  I hope to hear from you all.

Love,
Taylor

Hello Everybody,

I am just e-mailing you to tell you that unfortunately I moved from Crystal Palace just down the road to a place called Epsom.  It is basically still London, but I am in a different Zone, so I won't be there for the olympics or anything.  It was sad to leave Adrian and Karen, but I hope they will continue learning and coming to church.  Epsom is a cool place, it is a smaller place and less busy, so that is cool.  But we do have London in our area.  The ward sounds really cool and we are closer to the temple, so hopefully we'll be able to bring some people to the Temple.  I am excited to begin working here, my new companion is named Elder Atkinson, he is from Yorkshire which is up north and it is my favorite accent.  So yeah, I just thought I would let you know and also my new address is:

Elder Price
6 Firle Court,
Yeomanry Close,
Epsom,
Surrey,

So you gotta send me letters and I will write you back.  I am glad I have some people to write it is a blessing to have close family and friends.  I hope to hear from you all soon.

Hello Everybody,

This past week was quite good.  We taught Adrian a couple of times and also Karen.  Things are going really well with the both of them.  This upcoming Wednesday is transfer day, and a lot of changes are happening in the mission.  One of which is that our Mission President is going home and a new one is coming in.  The new mission President is named President Millar.  He is from St. George and is a retired Cardio Surgeon.  That is about all I know so far.  But I'll let you know more when we all get to know him better.  Hopefully I will stay in London, because next transfer the Olympics is starting.  But we'll see.  I am never sure what will happen during moves, but I will let you know as soon as I can.  Hope you all have a great and spirit filled week.

Hey Everybody,

It was a good week this week.  We taught Adrian twice and he is loving the Book of Mormon and he feels that he has received an answer to his prayers.  Unfortunately yesterday his washing machine broke and leaked water all over his kitchen floor, so he was unable to come to church.  But he should be there next week.  We also found a lady named Karen this week, who came to church yesterday.  She loved it and the ward fellowshipped her really well.  We should be teaching her soon this week.  Other than that I have nothing else to write about.  It was a good week, we worked hard and talked to a lot of people.  I am starting to finally acclamate to London I think.  It is a good place.  I hope you are all enjoying the summer and hope you all write me! :)

June 11th 2012- After All We Can Do

Hello Everybody,

I remember my last few weeks in Newbury, when Daniel was nearing his baptism.  Me and my companion would go out and get "Daniel Points" by knocking doors and talking to everybody.  Our diligence had an impact on Daniels preparation.  Here in Crystal Palace, we have been working really hard, but nothing much has happened until last night.

On Saturday night I was really discouraged, because my companion had been sick all week.  We had spent a lot of time in the flat and on Saturday when we actually could get out and work.  We had three appointments which all fell through.  So I knelt down on Saturday night before bed and asked Heavenly Father for a miracle the next day.  I was hoping that we would have someone make it to church.  Which didn't happen.  But my prayer was answered in a miraculous way.  So we got a lift from a family in our ward back to our flat.  For some reason they decided to drop us off at the Bus Station instead of our flat.  It is about a five minute walk.  They could've easily drove to our flat.  But I wanted to be polite and thanked them for the ride.  As we walked through the station.  I saw a man with his girlfriend and he looked at us and said something to her.  I thought they were just making fun of us so I kept on walking.  As I sauntered down the hill, I was pretty dejected and sad.  All of the sudden right before we turned onto our road.  This man came up behind us and approached us.  He told us after that he wanted to talk to us so bad, but was scared to.  He almost walked into a shop and bought a water bottle, but he said he heard a voice that told him to come talk to us and get living water rather than bottled water which would run out.  So anyways after he approached us he told us he had been studying the bible and particularly about the power of healing.  He has a liver condition that potentially could threaten his life.  We talked to him about the restoration of the Priesthood and he asked us if we could come to his home and give him a blessing.  To make a long story short, we went to his flat, taught him about the Restoration of the gospel and committed him for baptism on July 7.  The day after his birthday, we gave him a blessing and the whole time the spirit was so strong.  His name is Adrian Littley and he is an awesome guy.  So many miracles made this happen.  So many little minute things had to happen to make this possible.  The Lords hand was definetely in it.

Now we just need to get some "Adrian Points".  It seems that when we try our hardest nothing happens from our efforts.  But Heavenly Father blesses us with amazing miracles after all we can do.  I am praying that Adrian will continue with his faith and continue to be awesome.  I hope you all have miraculous experiences in which you can share the gospel with someone.

Hello Everybody,

I don't have to much to write today, other than on Wednesday is Transfer Day.  So I'm pretty sure I'll stay, but you never know.  Things are going really well here.  We had a guy come to church yesterday named Jim and he had a good experience.  I will let you know how he is progressing.  He'll take longer than most, but he is a really cool guy.  Anyways, we are off to do some street contacting.  Hope you all have a great day today!

Hey Everybody,

When I came into Crystal Palace there was literally only one Investigator that the prior missionaries were teaching.  So we've spent a lot of time finding.  The Lord has blessed us so much this week.  We found a young Jamaican family of 5, a young Polish married couple (Jehovah's Witness), a Ghanain guy and a Venezuelan girl.  We received three referrals that we have appointments with next week, so a lot of cool things happened this week.  I am excited for the next couple of weeks.  That is how things are going here.  I will let you know more when the investigators start to progress.  I love this work, it is sooo cool to see how the Lord's hand is in it everyday.  Well I love you all, I would love to hear from you.

Love,
Taylor
