Hello Everybody!

We had a fantastic week last week.  I am really happy, and me and my companion are working really well together.  We are finally settling into our new flat, and despite being in the moving process we were focused on the work and we had a pretty successful week.  This upcoming week should be even better.  The greatest miracle this week, is that we began to properly teach the children in the Pretlove Family.  India, the 13 year old daughter and Dane, the 11 year old son, were amazing.  We had two of the best teaches I have had on my mission with them this week.  It is frustrating that the three boys all have football on Sunday, because they want to come to church.  Dane begged his Dad to skip his friendly match this Sunday so that he could come to church with India.  India is amazing and she is really progressing alot.  She and Dane say prayers together at night!  She prayed on Saturday night about the Book of Mormon and as we read 3 Nephi 11 with her she expressed that the Lord helped her to understand, and she felt so strongly that what we read was true.  I look forward to our visits with the Pretlove family, because it renews me spiritually every time I go there.  India wants to be baptized so badly, but her Mom is a little unsure about whether she wants her to or not.  We are going over on Tuesday to discuss it with her.  Her father is excited for her to be baptized and we are still working with him.  He had an amazing experience where he found out God is there, as he prayed vocally.  I won't go into details but it was really cool.  I love that family.

It is so cool to be serving in this great land of England.  Grandma Larsen sent a cool e-mail today with some family history.  My companion last served in a ward in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.  And those ancestors that Grandma sent me lived in his area.  I get a rush when I think about early missionaries preaching to my ancestors and their experience of traveling to America.  They must've had so much faith.  I hope I can affect someones family the same way that those missionaries have affected generations of mine.  It is so amazing.  Well its been great talking to ya'll.  I hope to hear from all of you next week.

Love,
Elder Price

March 5th 2012

Hello Everybody,

First before I begin I stayed in Newbury, I have a new companion named Elder Conkling, he is from California and he has been on his mission for 18 months.  However, this week we moved into a new flat in Newbury and this is the address if you want to send letters there:

167 Jago Ct, Newtown Road,
Newbury RG14 7ED
England

Well thats that.  The flat is really nice, and we are still unpacking it is kind of a mess.  You get to learn a lot of lifeskills on a mission, like how to accept service from the Elders Quorum.  And how to deep clean an oven (gross).  But we should be done with the transition of moving flats in a couple of days.  This past week we found 3 new investigators and old man named Graeme, a freemason named Les, and this girl named India who is 13 years old.  We have been teaching India's family for nearly a month, but she hasn't been very interested in that period of time.  This past week though, the young women's president invited her to a YW activity and she loved it.  She also came to church this Sunday.  I am excited to report to you on her progress.  Her brothers all play football (soccer) on Sunday, so they can't come, but if we can get them to change football leagues, then the whole family of six would come to church.  This just goes to show that when members and missionaries work together (ideally the members finding new investigators for missionaries), the work becomes smoother and more rapid.  Well that was last week.  I hope to hear from you all next week.

Love,
Elder Price
