April 16th 2012

Hello Everybody,

I am writing to you from an Internet cafe in the heart of London.  This city is crazy, coming from Montana I am definetely not used to the fast paced lifestyle here.  But it is pretty exciting.  I don't know the area very well, but I should know it a lot better by next week.  The area is pretty dead, but we have one cool investigator named Jim who has been coming to church for 3 months.  My new companions name is Elder Banks he is from near Manchester here in England.  We are from the same MTC group so that is pretty cool.  Other than that I don't really have anything to talk about.  Today we are going to see Big Ben, and Tower Bridge.  So that should be really cool.  My new flat address is:

Elder Price
50B Maberley Rd, Upper Norwood,
London SE19 2JA
England

Well I will talk to you all soon.

Love,
Elder Price

April 11th 2012-I'm going to the big city!

Hello Everybody,

I have a short time before I have to ship out of Newbury so I thought I would let you know that I am moving out.  I was pretty dissapointed, I really love Newbury.  But one upside is that I am moving to London.  I am going to a borough called Crystal Palace in the south part of the city.  Woohoo, I may be there for the Olympics.  And yes Olivia I will take a picture with Big Ben, and I will send it to you next week hopefully.  I gotta brush up on my African language skills, there are a lot of foreign people there.  Well thats about all I have to say, I will talk to you all soon.

Love,

April 2nd 2012

Hello Everybody,

I have to be quick today, but I just wanted to share a short experience that happened this weekend:

This week ended with the most amazing miracle.  On Friday we invited Daniel and Ailsa Pretlove over to a members home to be taught.  This was a big step for Daniel, as he is overcoming extreme social anxiety and panic attacks.  They came over and Daniel was perfectly fine and we had a good discussion about faith and baptism.  We had been asking Daniel the whole week to come with us to General Conference on Saturday, because there would be less people at that session.  He wasn't sure whether he would go or not, but on Saturday we called him and he seemed a little more willing.  He texted us two hours before the session and asked us what he had to wear.  My heart soared, because we haven't been able to get him to church since we met him three months ago.  He came to Conference in Reading and really felt the spirit.  He said the talk by President Eyring in the Saturday Morning session was directed at him.  He also said the whole time he wanted to cry, but he didn't know why.  The next morning he said he was planning on coming again, he just had to stay home and watch the dogs.  His daughter India came though.  Daniel watched all 5 sessions at home, and we came over to watch the Sunday Morning session with him.  As we were talking with him after the session, both Elder Conkling and I felt like we should extend a Baptismal Date to him.  He said he had been thinking about baptism all weekend.  He accepted the date to be baptised on April 28.

It was an incredible change of heart.  The words of the prophets softened Daniels heart, he said as the Tabernacle Choir started to sing, he felt a chill up his spine.  The spirit uplifts us, inspires us and motivates us to truly repent and come unto Christ.  This Gospel is amazing, God is our Loving Heavenly Father and Christ knows us intimately and succors to our needs.  I love this work, it is incredible.  I love all of you and hope you have missionary opportunities as well.

Love,
Taylor

Hello Everybody,

Thanks for the Birthday wishes and for the letters and packages.  My birthday was really good and yes I had cake.  English cakes are way good, a member in my branch made me one.  I haven't much time to write, but I just want to tell you a few cool things that happened this weekend.  The week was pretty slow, but when Friday hit a lot of cool things happened.

On Saturday we stopped a Chinese guy on the street named Ken and he seemed slightly interested, we got his phone number, but he seemed kind of lukewarm about the idea of coming to church.  Yesterday we received a text message from Ken and he said he wants the location of our church so he can learn to get in touch with God.  He is from Hong Kong, and he seemed really nice.  Yesterday we showed the Prophet of the Restoration film to the Pretlove family and taught them afterwards.  Now everyone in their family has a copy of the Book of Mormon and they are all reading it.  The youngest son Rocco, takes the Book of Mormon to school everyday and asks his teachers to read it in class.  It is a Church of England school, so they haven't relented yet.  Haha it is pretty funny.  Another thing that was really cool, was that India got up and bore her testimony in Sacrament Meeting yesterday, it was awesome.  Ya it was a good weekend, something I am learning is that Heavenly Father is really the Lord of the Harvest, and that miracles happen in his time, not always in mine.  But it is always perfect timing.  Well hope to talk to you all next week.

Love,
Elder Price
